Furniture, appliances, mattresses, household junk, yard waste, garage and basement cleanouts — just about anything from a home. A couple of things need special handling, and a few we can't legally take:

Costs a little extra

These carry special disposal, recycling, or handling fees on top of your base quote:

  • +Mattresses & box springs — +$30 per mattress, +$25 per box spring (transfer-station recycling fee)
  • +Tube (CRT) TVs, monitors & electronics — +$20–50 per TV by size, +$15 for computers, monitors & printers (e-waste fee)
  • +Tires — +$10 per car tire, +$15 per truck tire (can't go in the landfill)
  • +Pianos & hot tubs — quoted per job from a photo (heavy specialty items needing extra hands)
What we can't take

These need a licensed specialist by law — give us a call and we'll point you to the right place:

  • ✕Fridges, freezers & AC units — the freon makes these a no for us. Still working? Con Edison's recycling program will pick it up free. Not working? Call an HVAC tech to pull the refrigerant first.
  • ✕Hazardous chemicals, solvents & oil-based paint
  • ✕Asbestos or anything containing it
  • ✕Propane tanks, gasoline & other flammables
  • ✕Car batteries & motor oil
  • ✕Medical or biohazard waste
  • ✕Ammunition & explosives
  • ✕Commercial business waste (requires a NYC BIC trade-waste license)
  • ✕Construction & demolition debris (requires a separate NYC BIC permit)

We're two Staten Island college kids who decided we'd rather bet on ourselves than wait around for permission. Haul It Gone started with a truck, a lot of hustle, and one idea: do junk removal the way our own neighbors deserve.

We're not afraid of a hard day or a heavy load — we like the challenge of it. And every job is a chance to build something real in the place we grew up.
